Memorial Day

For Memorial Day this year we went with Beth and Terry to the Santaquin Cemetary. Grandma Shoemaker's mother, Clara King grew up there. Her relatives are buried in that cemetary. Here are some pics and a little bit of history.

This was a motel that Grandma King owned. It has been turned into apartments now.

This is the school that Grandma King attended.

Baird Family Reunion

This year we got to go to Idaho for the family reunion. We have always worried about how much gas would cost in our big truck pulling the trailor. Now we know so next year we should be able to prepare for it again. I was so excited to go!! Last time I was at my Grandma Baird's was about two years ago. Last time I went to a reunion I was pregnant with Sariah and she will be 5 soon. I have so many fun good memories of going to Grandma Baird's house as a child. It was good to see all of my cousins and aunts and uncles again. The reunion was good and we had some fun playing outside and playing Bingo. Melissa had a fun game for us to play. She had some lunch bags that were wrapped up in each other with things written on the bags. Someone would play music and you would toss the bag back and forth. If the music stopped and you had the bag you had to do what the bag said. Here are a few pictures from being in Idaho.

Yard Work

The week before we went to Idaho we worked on our side yard. Our neighbor was putting in a sprinkler system and he had borrowed his father-in-laws bobcat. The side yard where we put our trailor was full of weeds and tree stumps. He offered to scrap the weeds and get the dirt ready. After it was ready we went and bought some gravel for it. It looks so much nicer now! Here are some pics of it.

These are the tree stumps that Jeremy pulled out with his truck.

These are what some of the weeds looked like. I always forget to take a before shot.

This is the beautiful end result.

Josh's Homecoming

Josh flew home from his mission with his parents on May 12. Beth and Terry went out there to pick him up. They got to go see church sites and visit with Terry's Uncles. Jeremy, the girls and I went up to their house about 8. Jeremy stayed up late playing and then we had to get up at 5:00 because Jeremy still had to work. Then on Thursday we pulled the trailor up to stay the weekend. It was a long fun weekend with lot's of relatives. It's very good to have him back. The girls love playing with him. Beth had an open house on Saturday afternoon. He gave a very good talk on Sunday. Here are a few pictures of it all.
